Default 1Jz Single Turbo

I am waiting for the next shipment of 1jz's and I was reading up of the limitations of the ct 12's. I was wondering what is the best bolt-on single turbo upgrade for around 450hp.

Default 5spd conversion..?

Might be purchasing a sc300 in the near future and don't know whether or not I should go ahead and buy a nice auto and convert it or get a 5spd. Let me know your thoughts.

I'd also like to know where a good engine depot would be to buy a 1jz tt or 1jz single turbo engine with or without a 5spd.

Appreciate the help and hopefully I will be a proud new owner of a sc300 soon!

Funny when the guy with 300+ posts thread-jacks the guy with 2 posts. Huh, I guess thread count doesn't dictate forum knowledge.

I've heard Jhot mentioned for 1JZ's, but haven't dealt with them. However, I have done business with aaron at driftmotion, and can recommend them for quick shipping and honesty. I believe The only 1JZ's that CAME single turbo from the factory, were VVTI and came with a CT15B turbo which isn't really worth your time. Call jhot or driftmotion, they aren't as cheap as Ebay, but I have personally seen some ruff Ebay motors.

Why not try a 60-1? they are cheap, proven, and will meet your 450 hp goal and then some.

XSpower over in ClubNA-T.com has some kits to go single. I haven't dealt with them before but I am leaning towards them for my NA-T just because they are involved with answering questions fairly quick at the other forum. I know it says NA-T but they also have kits for 1jz-gte's and 2jz-gte's not only the 2jz-ge's

I have read good things and bad things about online companies. BUT!! I have always noticed that they suggest to buy the setup from a local location in case you have any issues and or to be able to verify what you are getting before purchasing.
