Fuel pump trouble/DIY replacement
Hi guys.
I got the engine (1jz-gte) from my soarer swapped, I got the car back and I think the mechanics screwed up my fuel pump.
The car starts and runs smooth, but as soon as I floor it, fuel cut seems to appear, my air/fuel gauge indicates a fully lean mixture, and i can hear the fuel pump grinding in the back.
I'm thinking the fuel pump is starting to go, and I'd like to replace it, probably with a walbro unit. But I need to know how to access the pump. Is it just under the plate on top of the fuel tank?
If you guys have any other ideas of what the trouble might be, i'm open to suggestions.
The car is a 91 soarer, it shares the same chassis as a '92 SC400 so i'm guessing the fuel tank system is the same...
Thank you!

Take out the back seat and you will see the fuel pump cover. Take the cover off and you will see about 10 or 12 bolts. Take those out and you will see the hanger thats attached to the tank with 3 nuts. Take those nuts out, disconnect the fuel line and pull the hanger assembly out.
