Default Fuel Filter Maybe???

Last week I was driving my 400 home, came to a stop sign and the car died when i went to hit the gas. Dropped it into neutral it started up as I went to shift into drive it died agian, back into neutral and went to start it and just cranked didnt turn over, so i shifted it back into drive then neutral again and cranked it again, and it fired up, this time i gave it some gas to keep it going while i put into drive (hard on the trans i know) anyway i got on a the highway and floored it and it was running smooth again.

Well this morning I went to start my car and it took a long time to turn over like 3-5 secs and i even had to give it some gas to turn over.

I thought back a little bit and relized that recently i have noticed on start up it has taken a faction longer then before.

So my head has me thinking that it is the fuel filter but i wanna see what the gurus have to say.

Also little info on the car
Did a full tune up on the car last year (plugs, wires, rotors, caps, PVC valve)
Air filter was done 4k ago.
Oil change 1.5k ago

i know on older model tundras they have almost the same concerns with the car dieing out whe idling and also having a hard time starting. the problem with those is whent he torgue converter stays locked up making the car stall out. hope thats not ur problem.

Fuel filter??? I would guess more a fuel pump. Have you checked to see if you are getting any fuel to the front of the car? My mechanic friend told me to do that before on my old car. Good luck fixing it.
