Default Clutch noise?

When in neutral my clutch makes.. almost a whirring noise, however when I depress the clutch the sound is gone completely.

What could this be? Throwout bearing?

O.L.T.'s gonna move this to the engine forum, but yes, it is your throwout bearing. Replace it, it's a 20 dollar part, but getting to it is a pain in the ***.

Alright thanks for moving the thread.

So would you guys recommend replacing anything else and is it a do it yourself job or mechanic recommended.

if you do the bearing might as well do the clutch and the rear main seal. oh resurface the flywheel...hope that one is elementary though

Would having a hard time putting it into first after warmed up be a problem from the clutch?
