2.50" or 2.25" SC400 exhaust piping?
Ok guys I have been searching and haven't come up with a solid answer. Which exhaust piping diameter does everyone recommend for a 98SC400, 2.50" or 2.25" ? I also read somewhere about using the stock piping and just removing the stock resonators and replacing the stock mufflers with flow through ones. I need a solid answer guys. Any dyno results would be great. I'm thinking about going with a 2.50" X pipe with 2.5" piping all the way back to a pair of N1 mufflers. Of course removing all three resonators along the way. Any input would be great. Thanks..!!

YES PLZZZ, someone answer this thread with real deal facts, i've been looking all over and can't seem to get a straight up answer, im in the same page as satxsc400, i also have a 98 sc400 and i am thinking about going with the HKS hi power mufflers, and 2.25 piping with the magnaflow x pipe, is this the best way to go?, and how much HP and TQ should i be expecting?, are these gain to the whole power band? or just high end?

I cant give you numbers about a SC400 but I can tell you 2.5" should be comletely fine for the SC4, but the N1 Power mufflers are cheap. I knew a guy who had them on his 300zx and it didnt sound anything close to a nice set of hks or greddy mufflers...

you guys didn't search good enough...but i'm a nice guy
2.5 : will sound better, but expect some low end loss
2.25 : more low end power, but sound not to my liking
but both should be an improvement over stock, dyno result I can't find, but i think it's like 198whp and roughly 20hp+ on crank. these numbers include header installation.
