will a 98 vvti motor fit in a 96 sc300 and what is the hp difference?

I wouldn't do a swap like that for power. Unless you're doing that swap yourself and got the 98 motor/ecu/harness etc free it's just not worth it.

My motor has 152,324 miles on it and this one is a 98 with 89,000 miles on it with tranny for 800$..

still not worth it. i would do a 1JZ swap instead

well it will fit, direct bolt-on. But u should jus save up a little and drop in a 1jz...

1jzgte miles:40-60k
98 2jzge vvt-i miles:89k

go wit the 1jz
