Default usdm and jdm turbos

I just bought a set of used twins from a USDM 2JZGTE. I was wondering if there are any physical or visual difference between the US and JDM twins. I just want to make sure im getting a US spec and not JDM.

I am pro at this.. all I gotta do it drive with them for 20-30k miles.
I'll even do it for free since I'm feeling so generous ... No biggie

Umm I've heard that the usdm has a different exhaust flange or something along those lines, and when interchanging one for the other you must use the whole assembly. I did a search recently and somone said thats the reason a usdm downpipe for a supra will not fit the jdm twins.

"did jdm 2jzgte swap last year and ditched the jdm turbos because supra downpipe was alot cheaper and easier to get than jdm downpipe. jdm cast iron outlet after turbos points in a different direction more down."

and heres the source for the quote
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...e+fit+usdm+2jz

once again not 100% sure.

Yea i think you are right. Im working on that problem now. Does anybody know firsthand if the USDM twins will bolt right up to the JDM exhaust manifold???

JDM 2JZGTE turbos are CT12B's with ceramic blades.

USDM 2JZGTE turbos are CT20A's with stainless steel blades.
