Can someone tell me how to go about doing this? I looked on the LS site, but the DIY they have is for a non trac control car. I understand on the trac control cars there are two butterflies? Do I have to tackle this differently?
Didnt know if you knew there would be 2 hoses of antifreeze connected to it.
Yeah......I read the tutoiral on ls.com, and it mentioned that. From the write up it says it's very little anitfrezze up there because it's a high point.
Does any one have a shot of the trac control trottle body off? I want to see how the two butterflies are setup.
So there is no difference in removal between the two????
I am trying to remove to clean.
Thanks
Mousiee
Nope. 2 bolts and 2 nuts. There is one additional throttle positioning sensor though for the second butterfly.
Nothing really to see with the butterfly setup. Both are inline in the TB intake area. One is controlled via the throttle and the second via the Traction Control.

Gotcha........Thanks for the detailed response.
I'll tackle this over the weekend, hopefully.....I want to clean the trottle body and intake manifold passage.
Another question:
Do you think it would be less troublesome to get a BG induction cleaner to clean the trottle body and intake passage way?

What is "BG induction cleaner"?
I removed my TB to clean. Once removed, I soaked heavily with carb cleaner and then scrub, scrub, scrub!! Some areas will need a screwdriver or other small scraping tool to remove the carbon buildup.

If the cleaner is designed to be used on the throttle body after it is removed from the engine, then yes, should work. But so will many others cleaners.
In addition, consider running a can of seafoam through the engine and in the oil.

Actually, this stuff you use without removing the trottle body. It's suppose to be very good, but I don't know if it get rid of the stubborn carbon build up.

If it says to use without removing the TB, I would say no. It'll never get the tough stuff out. If you want it really clean, take it off and do it manually.
