Post New Haste radiator w/ pictures

Well, I don't post much, but I think I'd share this with you guys.
I purchased a Haste 3 row radiator (53mm) for my SC. Hasted doesn't make an application for SC's, but I just took the risk and bought the MKIV Supra application. It is 100% aluminum, top, bottom, front, and back. It is lighter than the factory one, but I didn't weight them. I don't have the exact number. The factory is, I believe, is construct with bronze. The craftsmanship is pretty. It comes with a 1.3bar capability radiator cap from Haste. I don't know what else can be use as cap; maybe that's why they have a chain attached to the cap so you can screw it to your car if your cap is not on the radiator. I am currently still using my clutch fan; so I have to modify my fan shroud. Yes, fan shroud DOES clear even with the thicker radiator as far as being closer to the engine. The modification on the shroud is basically trimming edges and corners in order for the shroud to mate snuggly to the radiator to be efficient. I bought "door cushion" to make this mating issue tighter and closer. I attached the "cushion" onto the shroud with industrial double side tape. I didn't use the factory mounting points (bolts) on the top; I fabricate four brackets and revet them onto the shroud. The top mounting brackets on the top on either side ~can~ be use; my right side sits fine; however, my side bracket isn't so straight. I also reuse the rubber cushion from my old radiator on the Haste's radiator. Lower radiator hose fits fine; upper radiator hose however is too long since the radiator is thicker so the "feeding" point is closer to the engine. I just simply cut what's needed and upper hose goes right in. No biggy.
I don't have an after-market water temperature gauge, since I don't want all those clock-look-alike gauge all over my car since I don't have much to it. But the dummy gauge seems the same, warm-up time seems unchange. I can't tell just b/c I don't have numbers to tell you guys. I'm sure it does in terms of thermodynamics. Anyway, enough talking. I'm not going to say or rate this fitment; you guys can decide whether it is or not base upon what I went through above.

so there is no boss for the factory coolant temp gauge in the Hast rad? Could a bung be welded in? Where is the factory coolant temp gauge located?
Looks good though.

at the bottom it has a drain, and a big 23mm head nut (tell me if I'm wrong) as a plug. Factory coolant temp sensor should locate at the thermostat housing.

the craftsmanship of the entire product is excellent. Not much comment of fitments since it was a mkiv radiator, but I love the quality.

Why such an expensive radiator? Do you have a 600+ hp, or something? Would the factory one not cool properly?

What do you mean, cost or location? It was about $340 for the unit. Location wise, I didn't measure. But "gunluvs14" can post his pictures of my fitment if he has time.

Well, I didn't check the cost of OEM radiator. But I did order an OEM radiator for another vehicle recently, and that cost me ~$210, and that's not aluminum and still has the plastic top and bottom. So in other words, it is still bounded to crack and damage up top and bottom over time and heat. But I don't have to worry about that on mine. Yes, it was time for me to replace mine, so I just went ahead and purchased the aluminum radiator.

I think it is a great decision, the OEM has plastic "end tank", and they get brittle and crack from age. For about the same price, why not go for the quality stuff. Its not like its going to be over cool since thermostat keeps everything under control.

check it out, nice weld

tight fit

Is there any modifications needed to fit this radiator?
