Nagasaki JDM engine????? does anyone have experiance???
I got a couple questions that I did search for a little but am trying to find a answer fast because I want to order the engine ASAP. So heres my situation. Alot of guys here recommend Jhot for there 1jz's and 2jz's but when I called them twice already they are telling me they dont sell the engines alone without the transmission, And I only want the engine because I have a 1997 SC300 5speed that the 2JZGTE will go into and I want to use the stock W58 because im only looking to do around 350WHP and am willing to try my luck. so here are my questions.
1. Has anyone bought a 2JZ motor from nagasakijdmmotors.com??? And how was your experiance??
2. I was told by R Rev motorsports (here in portland) that I can use a motor out of a automatic and it will work fine??? is this true?? has anyone done this??? does anything diffrent have to be done to do this swap???
Please help me out in this situation because I really want to order the engine in the next few days and I dont know what I need.

buy the auto motor from jhot and ditch the tranny. auto's are usually better because they're not ragged on as hard (hard to dump the clutch at 5000rpm without a clutch) 
yes, you can use the auto tranny motor with your w58 but the ECU will give you a check engine light b/c it is looking for the auto tranny solenoids, so find a 5spd ECU and your golden. as for what else you're going to need for the swap, it sounds like you have a lot of homework to do. try the search function.

let us know how it goes, buying just an engine through them, because i'm in the same situation as you (just 1jz) and was wondering the same thing. im not ready to start my project yet but when the time comes it would be cheaper for me to get just a motor and ECU.

Nagasaki sold me what I asked for. I asked for a 2JZGTE without tranny/ECU (I'm going AEM EMS) and they sent me the block with a free auto tranny. I paid 1650 for my engine shipped. It was in great condition and really clean. I'm pretty happy.

I am using an aristo set from jhot mated to an R154 and I didnt get a check engine light the two connections to the tranny are the reverse light and speed sensor. Jhot prices are good enough to buy the whole set and ditch the tranny. Thats what I did and got free shipping (Its 5 minutes from my house So I picked it up)Good luck sir Jhot are good peoples.
