Engine questions/options
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately my 2jz-ge 1995 gs300 engine is dead, and i'm looking for a used same 2jz-ge non vvti engine.
I suppose there is a différence from engine before and after OBD2 conversion in 1996, mine is 1995 so i need a OBD1 engine.
Mine is LHD and there is a RHD engine to sell near my place, is there any différences ?
Any other informations would be a great help,
Paul.

I know that the water pump is different between jdm 2jzgte and usdm 2jzgte as the jdm has an integrated hydraulic fan pump. There are other differences too, Not sure about the n/a 2jz though.

I bought a used engine and rebuilt it. I ended up finding a US spec one but I had talked to a JDM import place and they were going to sell me one out of a NA Supra. They said that I would have to swap my upper and lower oil pans to make it work. I would also use as much of the original sensors off your motor. I once put an engine in my S10 and didn't swap my sensors over. The oil pressure gauge was pegged to full because the sensor wasn't the right one for my truck.

Hello Lexus people,
my GS300 Ignition was changed and the car stated but missed timing
the engineer didnt get the timing right so i hear a sound (kra) whenever i do a sharp rev but when i do a normal rev (slowly) it doesn't make the noice.
note that I dont have anyone with timing light but i have volt metre.
please what are the side effect and the solution
can it knock my engine if drive to a distance place as it is now
