$30 at $3 a gallon is 10 gallons...
now, what you need to do, instead of guessing, is do some real testing...
fill up the car until the gas pump stops pumping by itself... set the trip meter to 0, now drive... drive hard, drive easy, just drive one way consistently for at least half, and preferably 3/4 of the tank. Now, you think you're done, but no... now, go fill up with gas at the exact same place, using preferably the same nozzle and pump and let it shut off automatically again...
write down your mileage and divide by exactly how much gas you put in the car, include decimals, it makes a difference...
I get 15-19 mpg in my sc400 in town, and 25+ on the highway... it takes some control on the highway, but it's doable...

I think you need to redo your math. I drive pretty hard and even I get more then 13-14 mpg.
Maybe you should try filling up all the way and then see how much milage you get out of a full tank. That is the only real accurate way of finding out your mpg.

reset your ecu. either pull the fuse or unhook the battery and let the ecu relearn its fuel/ignition maps and see if that helps. its always good to do it when the seasons change to get optimum performance and mileage.

i did the math before.. i pumped like 12.08 galons once, and did the math and only got like 14 mpg. it was really bad.. like i get really bad gas milage. its almost like i can watch my needle drop. it just seems like its dumping fuel somewhere but i dont know where. its driving me crazy. im pretty sure its not supposed to be this ****ty guys
