Im gathering parts for my 1jz swap. I can get a smic and pipes for a good price. Now I found a mk3 fmic for really cheap. Can I use this ic? But then Id have to get custom piping to make it work right?....

p.s. anyone ever seen a soarer ic? is it the same as the mk3 ic? what about the piping

You can make almost any FMIC work, it would be easiest to run the side mount but thats no fun... You can find a bunch of front mounts on ebay fairly cheap, any of which will work if they fit in the bumper

I would go with a fmic only if it were black. I dont want anyone to see that im boosting. Keep it lookin as stock as possible

Turbology

You can get a massive 24x12x4 intercooler from SSAC for peanuts, then just have a shop do custom piping. It would end up being cheaper than a pre-fabbed kit and it would be customized for your car.

Good for you man. A nice flat black coating would work on the FMIC. A Supra SMIC will limit you, bang for the buck I like the HKS TypeS, it's capable of 800hp (though that's really pushing it with that core) and fits well in the bumper.
RJ's is pretty expensive BTW, but their fab work is good.
