Default How long do you warm up your engine?

Hello Folks! I found a similar thread on the IS Forum and I was wondering what you all do. I have a 92 SC400 with 210K miles on it and I was just wondering which practice will help prolong my car's engine life.

I usually let my car warm up for 30 seconds then drive off slowly.

I just drive it under 3k rpm's until the water temp comes up so that I know the oil is well heated up by then and have proper oil pressure.

I let it warm until the water temp needle gets past that first big hash mark, then I take it easy on the gas until a few minutes after the temp gauge reads its normal temp, since oil takes longer to fully heat than water

I wait till the RPM drops to 1200 (30-60 seconds) and start driving off slowly. If I don't do that the car doesn't seem to drive very "Lexus-Like" aka smoothly.

Hey, whats up?
The antenna is behind my rear view mirror, it's a viper with the two way lcd monitor. The range varies, it says a mile but at school i don't get it until i'm about 50-60 yards. At work it's about 100 yards. I love it bc it's also a great alarm vx7991 i think is the model.

Excessive idle times cause more problems than good. Don't idle cold longer than 2 minutes tops.

I let the RPM's drop to 1k, then take it easy on the gas until water temp is normal. You can tell when your car is cold, it will hold a gear longer, in effort to try and raise temps quicker.

Now that winter is fully here in Indiana, I have been warming up my car for over 2 minutes about half of the work days this month to combat the cold. I will stop. What can happen as a result of this practice?
