Default What does it take for an SC300...

I tried searching this I'm pretty sure it was covered before but I couldn't get the Search function to work. However, what I'm wondering is... What kind of modifications does it take for a 93 - 95 Automatic or 5Spd, SC300 to beat a stock SC400? Say I guess from a roll if both were to punch it the SC300 the sc400 would lose by 1 car.

Also, Exactly what mods does it take to trap 101+ MPH in the quarter mile for a 92-95 SC 400 with still being a very reliable car?

From a roll is it a good technique to press the O/D OFF and floor it? Or do you have another technique on how to take off quicker?

1) Test drove an SC300(auto) and it felt pretty sluggish compared to the SC400 and SC300 (5spd). A stock SC300(5spd) should be able to keep up with a SC400. Didn't realize they were pretty quick until I test drove one!

2) Never modded my SC400 so I'm not sure.

3) Not sure either.

i drive an sc300 5sp.
and i would recomend:
BFI, exhaust, newcats (if you have a lot of miles), and seafoam/tuneup, maybe an SAf-c.
that should get you close but i think you will find the answere will vary greatly depending on the condition of the sc400 motor.

What is the best exhaust to get that is super quiet (quiet like stock) yet good for performance? I want to change out my exhaust because it's just getting old but I don't want them loud, rumbly exhaust, I just want it to be super quiet, when I start the car or go Wide Open Throttle you hardly hear it.

I have Magnaflow 14829 with deleted resonators and they are pretty good. When you start the car it roars. When you gas it all the way, it gets quieter. Or, you can delete all your resonators and keep your stock mufflers. It gives the car a very nice sound to it.
