Default Performance Q's

hello there, I just bought a 1992 Manual SC 300 yesterday for $5800 w/ 112,000 miles. My previous car was 89 Turbo RX-7 pushing 400 hp. I know nothing about this lexus but if anyone w/ experience could just tell me a little about the car i would appreciate it. how strong is the stock clutch? is the tranny gonna withstand for a while longer? how difficult is attaching a turbo to this fine piece of machinery?

thanks

The stock W58 (5 spd) tranny seems to die at 350whp or so. Several people have run it past that, but almost everybody seems to agree they blow at around that point (350-400ish). You can do the 6 spd swap that seems much stronger but it cost. The turbo is a pretty simple/easy upgrade....no different then any other car really.
