Need help creating parts list for 2JZGE-A340E to R154 swap for MKIV/SC

Please help me correct/complete this list. I've been researching for days and this is what I’ve come up with so far....
7MGTE R154 Transmission - make sure the tranny has the two side covers and the two sensors in it. The speed sensor is on the passenger side and the reverse sensor is on the driver's side. You can use the speedometer cable from the auto tranny, but you'll probably be better off getting the lower section for the 5spd tranny – not sure what the last part means…
Rear main engine seal- optional, but a good idea.
Rear transmission seal- optional, cheap ''leak prevention' insurance
1JZ Bellhousing - 1JZ-GTE equipped, sold in Japan only from '90 - '93.
1JZ Flywheel, bolts, pilot bearing- 1JZ-GTE equipped, sold in Japan only from '90 - '93.
R154 Clutch plate-
R154 Pressure plate-
R154 Throw out bearing/assembly -
R154 Clutch release fork and pin-
R154 clutch hub, bearing and snap rings-
Master Cylinder - from make/model/year?
R154 Slave Cylinder
Drive Shaft - front ½ from R154 any year (get u-joints replaced?) probably a good idea to change the carrier bearing now too. Be sure to align it properly when installing it too.
Rear diff- can keep existing auto
ECU - keep existing auto ECU – might need re-wiring for cruise control?
Brake pedal assembly
Clutch pedal assembly – need to cut out firewall?
Trans cross member mount – from make/model? not sure if it can mount in same location?
Trans "Wing" support brackets - 2 pieces, from make/model?
Lower and two side covers plates - 1JZ supra/soarer front inspection cover -1JZ supra/soarer side inspection covers
Have to extend the shifter linkage - there's a DIY on the forums thanks to VIPsoarer!
http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=319965
Shifter parts: new shifter boot, console boot, new console piece?, shift lever, (short-shift mod)
shifter bushings – there are 2 of them… 1 green (33505-35020) & 1 white (33548-31010) http://www.mkiiitech.com/forums/view...935ef8d4c9bff0
Hard line - that goes from the master to the slave, and a soft line that is part of the package; suggest changing that to a hard line as well. Brackets - for the hydraulic lines

A few other things I have picked up from posts on the forums.

The R154's main weakness is the "thrust washer" or spacer. It is nylon and if it breaks you have a floating gear so that you can not get it into first. Replace it with an aluminum one, and shift forks due to being cast pieces, shotpeening or cryotreating will help those.

There are a few wires that will need to be spliced together so that the car will start and so you can have your reverse lights. Wires will also need to be spliced together so that the power steering and ABS brakes (if equipped) will work. The Toyota wiring manual can give you all the necessary info to get these wires connected. There are some wires under the dash that will also need to be spliced so that the clutch pedal has to be pushed in to start the motor – this exert was taken from a MK3 auto to MT swap but I’m sure the same would apply for both MKIV and SC. I need help here!

Be sure to bleed the clutch system VERY well before driving the car. Bleed it as if it were a brake
system, using the clear piece of hose on the end of the slave cylinder bleed valve and pumping the
clutch pedal. Get ALL the air out of the system for the best possible feel and performance.

Some kind of pump and tranny cooler would be a nice addition !

I found your reference links to be very helpful. I just finished doing the auto to Manual swap using the W58 transmission. My only problem was not being able to locate the wires and plug for the Neutral Start switch. After reading up on those references I know have a better idea about what to do and where to look. Good luck with your project!

supraman: the shift forks should be fine, i only added those to the list of weak points for people who plan on abusing the trans during drag racing, road racing, etc. You should be fine with the stock pieces as they dont break very frequently. so far it looks good

Can you think of anything else I might be missing?
down to the last bolt This is my daily driver during winter months and my tranny is starting to go.... so I will need to complete this over a weekend so once I start I need to make sure I don't have to run to the parts store 10 x "like I usually do... "

off the top of my head no. its mostly a modified regular auto to manual swap. take the instructions from the how-to's on the board and then just swap it with the different parts needed. remember to buy new flywheel bolts when putting the new one on as it is recommended by toyota for any time you "change the clutch" which would apply here also. other than that its pretty straight forward. make sure to take your time and try laying out and doing a preassembly of everything to see how it will go in and get a brief idea. then u just have to bribe your buddies to get in and help to get it done and trouble-shoot if need be.

I've heard that you can use the W58 flywheel by drilling out a hole??? have you heard this before ? I'm hoping to find a 1jz flywheel for a decent price so I don't have to worry about it but it would be a nice option in a pinch. thanks

i personally havent but thats because i dont like redrilling balanced items. it makes for a sticky situation if they place doesnt balance well since a ton more weight is removed by redrilling the holes. just something to keep in mind if you try to go this route.

I was thinking the same thing but thought I would hear from people that have tried it, if I were to personally have it done i would have it done by a machine shop hoping they could test the balance (centripetal force) somehow to see if it was still "true". I like options

another question: does the 1JZ bellhousing have to come from a 1JZGTE? or it doesn't matter? same goes for the flywheel.
thanks !
