Over a decade has gone by since the last posting: is there now, finally, an answer as to how to SAFELY disable the TRAC system on an early SC400? I've read 1). remove the correct two relays, 2). just disconnect plug to 1st throttle butterfly (on the left as you face the engine), 3). pull fuse, etc.
I'd like to cut off the electrical power to the system that causes all the whirring and rattling (probably a pump?) under the hood at startup, and to turn the TRAC warning lights OFF, for good.
Don't think I really need the system at all, can't remember it ever coming on in my '93 in the last 5 years...
Someone out here must know by now...?
Thanks!
