Default Check Engine Light Coming On - 1998 SC 400??

Just picked up a 1998 SC400 from Tulsa, OK. While driving back from Tulsa, at the first gas station I filled up and the check engine light came on. I tightened the cap until it clicked, but it stayed on the whole 1800 miles, and never went away. Took to my mechanic and he replaced one of the 02 sensors, and replaced plugs with iridium and not platinum plugs. But, after filling up today the check engine light came on again. Anyone have similar problems, fixes?? Thanks.

No need to guess, didn't you have the error code read from your OBD plug???

John at Exact Motorsports will read your code for free and he takes good care of us Lexus Guys as well.

or do a quick search for troubleshooting the code and do it yourself. Takes like 3 minutes and it's easy as can be. If you can't find out how to do it then pm me

all you need is a 2-3 foot piece of wire to pull the code yourself.

Default Pulling Error Codes

A paper clip will do it.

You need to get the code read. Either do it yourself or bring it somewhere. Trying to figure out a CEL without pulling the code is very futile.
