2007 GS350 with a ton of miles ... My car has no check engine light for a while, then after a few times, it lights up. Check Engine, VSC, and some other light. After driving a little and restarting the car (after a number of times), it turns off on its own! What the hell can this be. No Codes are popping up. Already tried swapping the GAS cap ... thats not the solution.

I will check the spark plugs, and also check the history of previous codes registered to the mil.
Mine has just gone through this tiresome ordeal. The first time this happened, I thought it was the brake actuator so I brought it into Lexus. They diagnosed it to be an O2 sensor gone bad because the gas pump seal has sprung a leak, and oil started to seep out and down to the O2 sensor and caused it to fault. I got it replaced, and the lights and car drove better for 2 1/2 weeks. The same lights came back, so back it went to my mechanic. This time he and his master mechanic friend from a Lexus dealer diagnosed it to be dirty injectors, so they did the pressurized injectors cleaning. It has been 3 weeks now, and the car drives flawlessly. The last 2 tanks of gas, it averages 27 MPG.
The check engine light could mean a ton of things. I scan through the possible items on his laptop plugged into the car, and the possibility is endless. So, it could be something completely different that's causing your lights, but hope you guys can figure it out. GL
