Hello All

Did some mods on my air intake and exhaust and after a long trial and error to fix my pinging problem I have decided to go back to my factory air intake but I am sure I have a hose etc missing and was wondering if any of you have a diagram for a 94' sc300.

I give her good gas, EGR was cleaned etc and I just get horrible pinging from my engine and it just sounds like poo. I want her to sound happy again and I have discussed with my mechanic to just try this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as well as well as a diagram that I can compare to my kept parts to see what I may have to purchase or get from a salvage yard before spending money on my mechanic doing this work and getting charged for it.

Don't know if this helps. Tripple check to ensure ALL your hose clamps are very tight! This can cause the problem you have having.

will check that out. I have not noticed anything loose and this has been installed for over two years but the pinging just gets to me. Much worse than the year after i installed the system. Will check my righty tighty and see if that helps.

Any other suggestions before I go back to factory settings. I look back and say to myself, why pump in a bunch of money into changing something that took countless hours for engineers to come up with. hmmmm

I can't think of how your intake would cause pinging. It could cause rough idling though.

It might be something in your engine.
