Default Darn timing belt looks worn

How many more miles do you think this belt has left in it? So much work needed to change this thing out!

I think I'm going to tackle this problem sometime in December, any tips?

I would change it ASAP. Miles left on it? That belt is on borrowed time. If yours is a non-VVTi then you can risk it and continue on as it is non-interference.

autozone, the belt is under $20, or used to be. Use the search button to see what car and motor you ask for, i forgot.

whooaaaaa a timing belt for a 2jzge for under $20 are you sure? I know drivebelts go for about $15. And yeah that timing belt looks like if its about to go anytime soon. How many miles since the last change do you know? At least if it breaks you wont bend any valves. Let me know of some timing belt prices and good places to pick one up. I think its time for me to change mine out also.

Change it, or you will be stranded somewhere very soon... And you probably will feel like this... Get the point...

BTW, go with the Factory belt, you can never go wrong, and even if it's twice the price of the aftermerkets, it is a sound, inexpensive investment...

An aftermarket belt will be just fine.

The GReddy timing belts are pretty crayzay. They are expected to have two times the life of a stock one. Those things are made pretty sturdy too. I forgot how much my friend bought one for I think it was about $200 but it sounds like if it will worth it. Stock ones are pretty crayzay themselves. Whatever choice you make is good.

Gates belts are fine. They are used on top fuel dragsters
