Need Intake Manifold Removal Guide for SC300 - Engine/Spark Problems again!!!
I have a 92 SC300 with 143k and well if anybody remembers a few months ago I had an intake mainfold problem where some water got into the engine and corroded 2 spark plugs leaving me stranded. I remember that happened after a night of rain although I concluded the previous owner must have washed out the engine and thats how it got in there.
This morning on my way to school I noticed almost the same thing although it didn't feel like it was as bad. I made it all the way to school this time, but the car had a certin rumble/miss to it and didn't feel like all the power was there. Hopefully I'll be able to make it home and look at it.
Does anybody have a service manual where the could send me the diagram to taking out the Intake Manifold, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!
I had the sparkplugs replaced last time it broke so hopefully I'll be able to look at all 6 of them and figure it out or something. Still not completely sure what it could be, but if anybody could help. Thx

I'm guessing you want to take off the throttle body since water got into your spark plugs. Heres the
link
Give yourself about 3 hours for the whole job, thats how long it took me thanksgiving day.

You dont have to take out the intake manifold, and you should be VERY thankful for that, that is a job. All you have to do is take out your throttle body which is very very easy. The only "hard" part is this one coolant bypass hose which is incredibly hard to squeeze back into place with the stock clamp. BUt heres the solution, go to home depot, go to the plumbing section, and buy the smallest screw-type clamp you can. That should fit perfectly, or you may have to get the next size up. Once you get that clamp out of the way, the job is so easy. I honestly could do my plugs in about 30-45 minutes now, after removing my TB 4 times
Good luck, and if you have any questions, feel frree to ask. I just did this 2 weekends ago so its fresh on my mind

Well I got it out, it really wasn't that hard with the guide and that nasty coolant hose I just wiggled out hard and wiggled back in.
I vaccumed all the water out of the 2 holes and cleaned out the TB and it fired up fine (took a few cranks cuz i accidently disconnected the fuel line...oops. Man did some smoke comeout of the back! I drove it around and its fine now. MUCH better than the $362 I paid last time for the tow and new plugs and labor!!
