Default Sad Sad Day!!!

Well this is a sad day or week should i say for me. I just got home from being in the hosspital for 8 days. I was in a car wreck on last saturday and lets just say i am happy and lucky to be alive.

Short story a truck stopped in front of me at a red light but he was trying to run it but when he found out he would not make it he slammed on his breaks.
<a href="http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c38/a01mendoza/?action=view&current=2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c38/a01mendoza/2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

AS you can see the gate is what got the car and my face and jaw. I just got her out of impond and going to see if i can save her at all. The cop said it was my fault and gave me a ticket while i was in the ER. Bull ****.......
I have you know i got myself out of the car as i did not want them to cut the car up lol. But i am alive and can walk and i am alive that is all i am happy about.

Sad Sad Day

::sigh:: Yea I was pretty shocked when you text'd me when you got out of the hospital. Someone must be watching over you, because that was indeed a horrific accident. But we are all glad you were able to walk away from it. As far as your car is concerned, I think we should put it to rest and start anew. Just take what you need from it and let's begin a new SC project. If ya need anything just ask the me or the crew. We're here for you bro.

Anyone know the laws with having tailgates like that down? Because I thought it was illegal to have that kind of tailgate down like that, ESPECIALLY when it could potentially kill someone.

No law against having stuff sticking out the back of a vehicle. But there is a law that they have to put a red flag/rag of some sort on the furthest part of an object that sticks out past there rear bumper. Not sure what the footage is on needing something like that. Also not sure if the red light indicators are the same deal.

Damn!!!, glad you okay bro. That had to be scary seeing something like that, without any reaction time on avoiding the collision. I cant believe you were able to get out of that car, with the damage being so drastic. You have someone watching over you

Get Well Soon

Not illegal for those vehicles to have their gates down - that's why they have brake lights built into them.

I'm glad (and surprised) the driver was able to get out and survive, but the ticket is legitimate. If the truck had backed into him, that's a different story, but rear ending someone is not the front driver's fault, especially if he was stopping for a red light as opposed to running it. The only exception might be if he swerved in front of the car and slammed on the brakes. This is known as a "swoop and stop," and a favorite of the deadbeats and liars who are looking for a whiplash claim and a quick insurance payout. Not the case here, but that would pretty much be the only way it would be the truck's fault.

OMG, I don't know what to tell you man I just saw this, all I can say is I'm glad your doing okay, don't linger about the car, as long your okay that's all that matters. The ticket is a total BS!
