so i havnt really been on here since i got the SC4 totaled. but since then ive picekd up a 96' civic coupe with b18b1 (ls) motor. and im contemplating whether i should mod it up ie. t66 turbo set up, or pick up an mkIII supra or 240 or something inexpensive as a dd/project. haha not too satisfied with a semi stock vehicle. what do you guys think? oh yea...next meet you guys have im gonna try an bring up the pops' new IS250 haha.

 

id say if your switching from a sc4 to something you should go for a mkIII. a civic and 240's are nice but they are really popular and there are so many around and if you are gonna mod some of the parts are highly sought after and more of a threat of getting jacked. and i was a former 240 owner who hangs out with honda guys so im not biased or anything.. i personally like to go for the car that would be different than a normally seen car. thats why i got rid of my 240 they got too popular

 

yea man thats what i was thinking...regardless the civic is gonna be in the family either I or my mom will drive it as a commuter just cause im gettin about 31mpg on the b18. but theres an MKIII N/A 5spd forsale here 120k on the body an the motor is about to go out straight sehll for about 400$ im talkin to my parentsa bout picking it up an dropping in a 1jz or rebuilding up the NA motor. or even Emeralds SC3 shes selling on NWN

 

man i wish i was a millionaire so i can just do all the projects i want haha. but i think im gonna keep with the civic cause i got most of the set up for the t66 in my garage. hopefully ill be in the mid 200's fwhp range?

 

but you also have to think about the reliability factor if you are planning on commuting with this car.. thats what i think about with a car because if i go all buckwild and boost my engine and run it til it has problems then i wont have a car to just commute around in any more.. it sounds like your planning on doing a custom turbo set up? how long will that motor last pushing 250 ish to the wheels? just a thought..

 

yea that is a thought. ive tought about mild build such as cams an what not. then running it daily at about 5psi then boosting it up or what not. i sure miss the sc4
