So I tried calling Tech 1 in Anaheim. Got the ph. number and address. On the way there, I got lost and called them up. The receptionist had no idea where I was. Apparently, she didn't even know where Anaheim was! I was completely confused. As it turned out, I called back and they moved! They moved about 30 miles north back in December! This is no longer a convenient wheel repair shop.... Just a FYI.
They kept the same phone number. Which is confusing as hell because it's the 714 area code. Switchboard.com shows them still at the old address with the same phone number.
FYI to anyone who wants to drive down to Tech 1.... DON'T!!!!
I attempted to drive there today, and let me tell you, it's more than 30 miles. They say "30 miles" on the phone, but in reality it's more like 60 miles in the middle of no where. To top it off, they give me the wrong directions, so basically i drove around aimlessly in cow country while they blame it on me. If anyone is familiar with the area, you're supposed to go to 90E and exit Barton Rd. Well... i did just that and i ended up all the way near Palm Springs. Turns out you're supposed to go on another freeway, AND then exit.
So, after 200 miles, and $45 in gas, AND 3 hrs in traffic... I'm back home. They just lost $200, and a customer.
Now i look elsewhere to find a reputable local shop... the search continues...

Damn that sucks! The chick at the front desk doesn't know anything! She didn't even know where Anaheim (The city they used to be in) was. Mag Master doesn't do rim repairs?

i know thang, tell me about it. Traffic at 11am, traffic goin back at 2pm. sucks to be me... I'm heading over to Mag Masters tomorrow morning. They said they can fix it. I should've went with them in the first place, since I've dealt with them before. If not then my only option is Wheels America. I'm so tired right now. I was supposed to visit friends in Riverside, but i cancelled because i was so pissed.
oh yeah, the girl at the desk doesn't know anything, and ALL the guys there don't North from South if it hit them in the face. Screw them... I hope everyone on CL learns from my experience. I told them on the phone they lost a customer and they just hung up the phone... shows that they really do care about customer service...
