May have something to do with how the area code is stored in your phonebook. When I am in motion I can't see the name.

Yup. Don't store the "1" before every number in your phonebook.

i had the same problem.. i went back and modified the entries in the phonebook so that they appeared exactly as they do when i get a call on my phone.. i did have to put 1 in front of a couple of numbers in order to get the name to show for an incoming call.. hope this helps

the names have to be loaded onto the car's phonebook. if not, it won't show the name.

Is his an 06? Maybe is has to do with the overide button. My 07 shows name, number, ect when stoped but not driving. I wish it would though that way I dont have to look at my phone to make sure who it is.

The override button is for entering destinations and has nothing to do with bluetooth.

The early responses in this thread had it right. Bluetooth sends number, not name. Name only shows up if it is in the car phonebook, and the number matches exactly. When the car is in motion, the number is blanked out. The name, if available, is not.

I see when your connected it will tell the name but no number while driving if the match is correct, but when the call is incomming, the screen still just says "incomming call" no name or number.

You sure!?! You see the name when the car is stopped, but when the exact same person calls from the exact same phone number while you are driving, you don't see it?

RAZR V3c on Verizon. Worked with both the crippled Verizon firmware, as well as the uncrippled Alltel firmware I later flashed on my phone.
