I don't believe that was one of the adjustable options. I think that would represent a serious safety issue, and the manufacturer likely wouldn't want to assume that kind of liability.

May any I ask why you would want to disable that particular chime? It seems like a pretty important chime to me.

Sometimes i just want to listen to the radio with the door open. Not a big deal tbh.

Though it may be inconvenient to do each time but you know that you can just reach around to the left and push in the black button on the door frame after opening door. I do this quite often if I am setting in the car doing something before I exit and do not want to hear the open door chime.

I was able to successfully use the free version of the Carista iPhone app to check my NX for faults (of which there were none) and (with the $19.99 Pro version of the app) modify whatever "dealer-only" Lexus Personalized Settings I wished. The application connected very easily to the OBDII device and worked flawlessly.

Incidentally, for the iPhone, make sure you purchase a wifi OBDII adapter (rather than a bluetooth one, which won't work). I used this one:

I'd like to try the free version first. But i can't find it on Apple app store. Do they still have the free version on apple app store? Thanks.

The Torque app can do transmission temp if you get the paid version.

I have a question for Carista. How often do you update the software? Do you add new features/funtionality occasionally, just keep up with OS releases, or is it pretty much static?

I'm not sure if torque works with that particular adapter, but from my experience it works with most adapters, even the cheap ones.
