Hey guys, not sure if anyone has yet experienced this:

1) I am talking on my iPhone 5s (ios7.1) through bluetooth
2) Plug in the iPhone into the USB to charge
3) While you are speaking to the person on the line, the iPhone starts playing a song and pause or stop buttons on the iPhone do not work. just freezes the screen.

I found this interesting, wonder if anyone can give that a try, It is a OS issue I'm sure. But a bug nonetheless.

 

Once you plug the phone in, do the car's controls work to stop or advance the music?

 

It actually does not , its odd. The pause on display and phone dont respond

 

My iPhone 5 running IOS 7.1.1 in my 2014 RX350 with NAV doesn't appear to do this. Can you duplicate this? Did your phone conversation drop? Did the iPhone lock-up?

 

Do a hard reset of your phone, it fixes a lot of iPhone issues. Also, use the charging port to charge, not the USB. It puts out more power. When you plug an iPhone into the USB, the phone thinks it's being used as an iPod and can interfere with bluetooth.

 

This is on the no nav 2014RX.

Yes, so what happens is the conversation still goes, but then a song starts playing. the others person does not hear the song. i can exit the screen to hung up then it allows me to pause the song. otherwise the iPhone's pause function freezes up during this time. The iPhone still functions.

Ive done hard resets and tried other phones too. But I am getting a 15 with nav so i will give this a shot again.

What I will do is film it and upload here so you can all see what i mean.
