The rear seat center arm rest rattles like there's no tomorrow.
A workaround is to keep it down. For a more permanent fix which I tested with temporary blue-colored felt, place sticky felt (black) on the insides of the seat opening and under the center headrest to prevent the Nuluxe on Nuluxe squeaking.

Did you always have this rattle? I have never heard of it.
Did you mention this to your dealer?
Is it constant and always happening?
Nah, I did not since I wanted them to focus on the other two issues which I could not fix myself, the wind buffeting and engine vibration. Unfortunately, "normal" for these two issues which I still plan on revisiting at a later time.
Yes, it's almost always constant. Of course if someone sits in the middle, no issues. Maybe I'll take a video...
haha, no worries. Though the "fix" is really a workaround with the armrest down or if you put felt or padding in the space so it stays tight!
CorrradoMR2, I happened to be in the showroom again today and spent some time looking at the NX and the new RX.
When your rear armrest rattles, are the rear seats in the reclining position? I would think by reclining the seats, the rattle of the rear armrest diminishes.
Anyone hear a faint squeaky noise when accelerating, driving or coming to a stop? I'm assuming it's the springs or something because i notice it when going over slightly bumpy roads as well. Is this normal or just part of owning a new car?

Little difference in the rattle regardless of angle, unless the seat is fully folded down flat of course and there is none. My past RX had the same (worse) rattle as the entire center "20" section of the 40/20/40 rear sear rattled like there was no tomorrow, whether down or folded up.

Hard to know what it could be. On the inside, check the rear armrest perhaps and/or rear seat headrests are not rubbing on the seat. Also, remove the rear tonneau cover if you have it to eliminate variables. Good luck.

I'd like to thank you Corrado for your insightful comments about the centre armrest. The squeeking started 2 weeks after purchase and very frustrating. Lo and behold, when the armrest was lowered, squeaking gone.
It's fine for me because I usually drive car alone or Max of 4 on board.

But, an annoying issue.
Yeah annoying, and although I'm feeding issues into this thread as well as the engine vibration and wind noise threads, these are about the worst issues you'll experience on a Lexus, which I'll take over competitors' mechanical and electrical issues any day.
