2023 NX 350 h Seats?
The reason we are looking at Lexus is because the seats in my wife's car are uncomfortable on long trips. Seriously, how comfortable are the seats in a 2023 350NXh during a 500 mile trip?
I have not taken a 500 mile trip, but the seats are extremely comfortable. I have had back pain from seats in other cars, so I sat in the seats for a long time before buying the car. I have had no back pain with the NX.
Yes, the premium package includes a two way lumbar adjustment on the driver’s seat. I believe all models have at least a two way lumbar adjustment. The luxury package includes a 4 way lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat.
I find the seats of the NX 350h to be reasonably comfortable, but they are not as comfortable as German or American premium cars (Merc, BMW, Cadillac or Buick). My biggest issue with all Japanese cars is that the bottom cushion is very small. Narrow and short, providing no knee support. I am 5'7, 160 lb so it's not like have a giant bum, quite the contrary. Yet, I find both Lexus and Toyota seats to be midget-sized. IMHO, Mercedes and BMW have the best seats for long distance driving. They are wider and have good knee support which helps to keep the legs rested during long drives.
Seat comfort is somewhat subjective. For starters, what is your wife's current car? What makes them uncomfortable? Are they too stiff? Too soft? Badly shaped?

Wife is 5'10". I am 5'11. Average weight, no more. Her every day driver is a late model Tuscon, top of the line. Both of us find the seats too stiff and uncomfortable on long trips which we are about to undertake.
As with so many things personal preference is the decider. There isn’t a data set saying the seats are fabulous or the seats are terrible. But I’ve watched every NX 350h review on YouTube—most of them more than once, at least. The seats get very positive reviews by most folks who review cars for a living. But—the standard still applies. Just because they say so doesn’t make it so—-for you. My hope is, if you bought the car you like the seats, and everything else. Realizing we’ll all have some things we really like and some things not so much. So it goes. It’s been my experience with too many cars to list, they’ve yet to make the one that is absolutely perfect. And all the things that are less than perfect in a luxury vehicle are a first world problem.
