What is the purpose of the intake above the driver side fog light?
I noticed it today while cleaning my 350h today, not fun in subfreezing weather!

As I recall from a review before we took ownership of our NX350h, they are just cosmetic. No function.
Your car has ejection seats and hideaway fog lights......what package is that??
I wish! The ejection seat could be . . .
useful.
It’s odd that the driver side has the hole, but not the passenger side. What’s the point of a cosmetic intake on only one side??

I haven't looked under my NX yet, but in the Highlaner it's the air inlet for the transmission cooler. Given how similar all Toyota models are mechanically, it's probably the same.
Confirmed. It is air inlet for the transmission cooler. You can actually see the cooler core through the tiny inlet. Similar design to other Toyota vehicles with towing package.
