Default ACC Customize side effect: infotainment off immediately or not

There has been a bit of discussion of the “ACC Customize” setting here.

One side effect of toggling this on or off is whether or not the infotainment system switches off immediately after turning off the car with the ignition switch.

Turn this setting ON means that when you turn the car OFF the infotainment screen turns off immediately. If you turn this setting OFF then when you turn the car off the infotainment (and audio) stays on until you open the car door.

It’s useful to know this if this is something you want to customize.

The amount this effects the guest profile loading/not loading seems unproven at this point after the OTA update.

I’ve noticed the two times I toggled this off that I start to have CarPlay connection issues and get random system malfunction popups. Needless to say, I keep it on. So unfortunate because I like being able to keep my music playing without having the car turned on, especially when I park in my garage.

Also, when this is toggled off, is this the only way to have your name come up on the welcome screen on the digital cluster when entering the car? I like that touch

Especially if you have more than one profile, since it sometimes loads the wrong one.

Same here. I also began to experience CarPlay connection issues when I toggled the ACC setting to OFF, and I also returned to the ON position.

Regarding the name on the welcome screen, in my experience, with the ACC setting ON, my name sometimes appears on the welcome screen and sometimes does not. I cannot identify any conditions controlling this, so I've decided not to worry about it.

Ok. I thought I was seeing it sporadically as well - just wasn’t sure under what circumstances. You’re right - clearly out of our control either way. Lexus should find a fix to make it consistent.
