Routing usb cable for charging
I usually open up the storage under the usb ports and put the phone in there with the usb attached. I think that a short 0.5 m cable might be long enough if you wanted to minimize the cable length

I don’t have people in my back seat often, so I just run a cable from the rear port up to the right of my drivers seat. I popped in a fast charge usb adaptor to the rear car charger port and a black cable so not visible. Now I just reach down for a plug in but the center area remains clean

I routed the power cable for the dash camera into the edge of the headliner across
the driver's side windshield header and driver's door. Took it down the B pillar tucked
behind the trim and out level with the driver's seatback pocket. Excess cable looped
in the pocket and out to the back console USB jack in our 2020 ESh. Since it is switched
with the ignition I don't have to turn it on/off. Minor drawback is it can not be set for
parked impact recording but it would since the camera is forward facing it would not be
recording door dings anyway.
