Default USB in colsole

Am I missing something or does Lexus think you want your phone inside to charge. There is no place for the cable to allow the phone outside the console unless you keep the lid open

I have an auxiliary cable and a charging cable both inside and I'm always able to close the lid with one of the cables attached to the phone while in the cupholder. The charging cable I have is the Amazon basics 3 ft. cable. I can't remember where I bought the auxiliary cable, probably Radio Shack.

The cable doesnt get pinched. Theres just enough space to allow the lid to close.

Run it out the front along the gear shift indication. If you try to go out the side it will pinch. I also use the Amazon Basic 3t. I use 2 one for the iPOD Touch for music and Audible and the other for the phone which I have clipped to the AC Duct by the clock so I can use WAZE.Both stay charged. And I get the phone and messages over the bluetooth. Bluetooth doesn't play well with the phone and audible. Thus I use both. The usb goes to the iPOD on the radio controls.Wish I had an IVIC like I did on my 2007 but they quit making them.

Travis, are you sending your Waze audio to your car speakers? I have tried that but the audio system is slow to respond and my Waze alerts are cut off at the beginning. Did you solve that or work around? Thanks!

If you are a diyer you can remove the center console and the wood cover and get a long 9ft cable and run it so it comes out of the "ashtray" area, that's what I had setup for a while but I got a new phone and never really have a need to charge it in the car so now I just use the bluetooth and keep an ipod in the center console.
