Has anyone with a 2023 tried to install the OEM illuminated door sills?
I purchased the puddle lights and door sills to install myself. The puddle lights had a connector behind the blank and was a very easy install. When I took off the stock door sills, I could not find the connectors anywhere on either the left or right side doors.
I was under the impression that these were plug and play and wiring was ready. Has anyone else with a MY2023 NX350 tried to install these? If so, was there a connector under the stock sills? Does anybody have any pictures or any advice on where to look?
I can't answer directly; but, I can share my experience with another Toyota vehicle with a port installed option.
I received port installed bed lights in my Toyota truck. Having disassembled the interior, I can tell you that they added wiring specifically for these lights... all the way from the switch on the dash to the back of the bed. I suspect that could be the case here; it would at least go some way towards justifying the cost of these (though still multiples of the bed lights). I like the bed lights, they serve an important function; I feel that these sill lights only lighten up my wallet.
I used a flathead screw driver and started from the side away from the body of the car and slowly wedged and pried and it popped right off. Super easy.
@pcheezy3 On our '22 450h+ the plugs for the sills were actually up under that sorta triangle plastic trim piece towards the front of the car and NOT below the non-illuminated sill. I kinda panicked for a sec when I pulled the old ones off and didn't see any plugs... So pop that piece off as well (it's the next piece that the old sills connect to towards the front of the vehicle) and hopefully you'll see the plugs nicely tucked in there.

hello, just wanted to follow up if you manage to locate the wiring harness for the door sill lights? got into the same predicament while installing and found no plugs! :'(

Yes. Pop open the triangle piece closer to the door hinges and you will find it there as opposed to under the non illuminated door sills. Goodluck.
They are pretty easy to install by yourself. There is no need to pay extra for the dealership to install it for you. Just study the attached installation instruction in advance and you can get this done in 20 mins.

No idea why i cant find the connector even after opening the triangle piece. I'm in australia on f sport grade nx350 petrol version (made in japan). Guess i have to ask the dealer..
I installed mine a couple of weekends ago. It was easy to do. The hardest part was figuring out how to pop off the plastic piece under the console to get to the connector. Once done for the first side, the other side went quickly.
One thing, they don't stay on when the door is closed and they don't change colors with the ambient lighting. They are only illuminated when the door is open. Most may already know this, but I didn't so passing along for anyone who wasn't sure.
