Question on the puddle and door sill installs. Did you actually disconnect the battery as the the instructions state.
Just curious

if you have the connector already on the car's harness, no need to disconnect battery.

I'm not sure if I researched this correctly, but are there also rear left and right illuminated door sills available for the nx 350 as well? If so, did anyone else install these, have instructions, or tips? Total noob here and a bit nervous to attempt but typically a home DIYer. TIA!

Nvm... looks like only the front can be illuminated. Too bad my car comes with the front as a PIO that I can't seem to get removed...

Now we just need an aftermarket LED sill seller like the puddle lights and the rear hatch.

Default Available?

At the dealer now buying a 2024 NX350h and wanted to add in the lighted door sills. They said part not available at this time since Toyota has a "stop sell" on this? Anyone know about this? I suppose if I buy later I can install myself?

I am waiting to take delivery of a 24 premium and I am getting a quote for 500 labor, nuts. I read the posted instructions and I have trim removal tools and it really does not seem complicated to the extent of $500. After reading the instructions I figured I would be good with 90 minutes of labor charge, not 500 worth. Aagh!

The labor rate since the pandemic has doubled at all dealerships, unfortunately it will never go back down.

Default Puddle lights?

I purchased the puddle lights and door sills to install myself. The puddle lights had a connector behind the blank and was a very easy install. When I took off the stock door sills, I could not find the connectors anywhere on either the left or right side doors.

I was under the impression that these were plug and play and wiring was ready. Has anyone else with a MY2023 NX350 tried to install these? If so, was there a connector under the stock sills? Does anybody have any pictures or any advice on where to look?

Thanks in advance.
Did you buy the OEM puddle lamps? If so, where at?

Do you want the ones with the Lexus logo or the blank ones?
  • The former should be part number PT94478220 (Side Puddle Light) on the Lexus Parts or dealership website.
  • The latter should be part number 8123011030 (Courtesy Light); you will have to order two of them.

If you have a connector not necessary. The key is to isolate the positive lead. If you are stripping the wire yourself and/or have an exposed positive connector, isolate it with a piece of duct tape.

The key thing is to not let the positive lead short out by touching ground. Remember almost all metallic surfaces are ground.

Good Luck.

YMMV,
