Run flat tires issue

If you look at Tire Rack's website, they will state the conditions on which a RFT can be repaired, but even then as others have stated, there might not be someone willing to go through the trouble of repairing it.

You may get lucky. Since tire does not loose air, the nail, perhaps did not puncture through.

Thanks everyone! Replaced the tire with a new one. It’s not cheap which makes consider buying the lexus hazard protection plan. I know there is another thread for this topic but still can’t make a decision if it would worth it!

  • Did the screw penetrate the tire? I hope you got to look at the old tire after it was unmounted. (Ha, I just typed "screw," "penetrate," and "mount" in quick succession.)
  • Did the noise go away after you replaced the tire?
Some mom and pop garages are willing to repair tires where big-chain shops won't. It's a little bit risky, but can potentially save much money.

i called few ones, no one was willing to touch it, i eventually replaced it at a Toyota dealer because it was closest to me than Lexus
