Default Does this seem right?

So the new prices for the 2023 NX have come out. We all know dealership salesmen would lie to their mom if it gained them a buck but I want you all to make sure I am not reading this wrong. I am interested in a NX350h. The 2023 MSRP is $43,105 which is MORE than 2022 (keep this in mind)

So this shows the MSRP for a 2022 NX350h is $44,600 which is MORE than even what Lexus says 2023 is going to be. To top that off Lexus says their MSRP is inclusive of the Delivery process and handling fee, however this dealership is adding it ON TOP of the already inflated MSRP.

Am I reading this wrong or are they misrepresenting the numbers before even the options are added?

For a '22 350h the website shows $42,700.00. I pulled up a factory sticker on one of our local dealers' NX and for the premium model it does show $44,600.00 Looks like where in the past Lexus would show the base price, and down below show premium package added and amount, they now just show it as NX 350h Premium and then any additional packages added.

The main problem is them showing the delivery processing and handling fee separate when Lexus says it's included in the MSRP.

The sticker I am looking at shows a separate delivery/handling fee of 1075, not included in the 44,600. I do believe that fee varies a bit depending on location & when/where the vehicle was built.

If you have the VIN number, PM it to me and I can get the window sticker straight from Lexus/Toyota undoctored. Based off the screenshot you've provided it seems they've given you what is referred to as a V-Spec which is auto generated by Toyota / Lexus, but it could theoretically be modified in something like Acrobat.

The fee is the same regardless of where the car is going to. The mentality is that for those that live close to the port it may only cost them $500 to ship, and that extra left over money would go towards delivering the vehicle for those far from the port.

Just sent you back your window sticker link. One thing I will say is, based off the dealer listed on the window sticker, be careful. On the IS side of the forum we've heard stories of them forcing BS extras on the car to jack up the price. Make sure you get a final OTD price in writing.

That seems normal to me. The MSRP should be EXCLUSIVE of the Delivery and Processing (I believe this is a federal law). When we got our '22 the invoice states this: "*2022 Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price excludes the Delivery +Processing and Handling Fee"

That being said, I do agree to get the OTD pricing in writing. Dealers are shady SOBs

My dealer was great, not shady at all. Up front from the start. No add-ons or surprises. So I disagree with your stereotype generalization,

YMMV,

Normally I would agree with you but this was posted in the Lexus Press Release when they announced the new 2023 NX pricing.

Buddy you're beyond hardheaded. The dealer sent you a Lexus generated V-Spec, I sent you a Lexus generated window sticker, I sent you the official pricing chart straight off of Lexus' website proving the price that was shown to you, and you're still insisting you're being scammed. You are buying an NX350h PREMIUM, not a regular NX350h. At this point you're beating a dead horse.

I was in the same boat (ish)... BUT stereotypes exist for a reason... If the majority of dealers weren't trying to pull BS like thousands of mandatory add-ons for useless things like "rust protection" and tacking on $5k-$10k over MSRP, there wouldn't be a WIDE industry perception of the "stealership". Lexus is probably better than most, but the asshatery still runs rampant in the auto sales industry.

Dude, I didn't say you were wrong. I was just showing them where it said included vs excluded on the press release. Geez cool your jets.
