Default Speed limit icon

The icon appears on the heads up display but not on the navigation map. According to the manual there s/b something on the right side of the screen enabling it. Any ideas please?

photo please, press Go Advanced button below and attach a photo of the mystery icon.

There are two (2) different Speed Limit display sources,
1) the main Lexus Navigation screen gets its MPH info from the preloaded map data
2) the Driver Information Center screen (between the Tach/Power Meter & Speedo) gets its
MPH info from the Lexus Safety System camera mounted on the windshield. It is not always
displayed, it seems to vanish if it does not "see" an actual sign or they are obscured.
The two readings will occasionally differ when a local authority votes to change the signs.
I think the HUD display shares the DIC readout

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think the speed appears on the navigation map. I think this was discussed in another thread.

It doesn't appear in Canada. In the US it does, but for whatever reason Lexus decided not to put that in for the Canadian market.
Using Apple Maps or Google Maps - I can see the speed limit, just not the first party maps app.

Yes - no. Just not available in Canada

page 330 of the manual for the MID, or 321 for the HUD.

Lightbulb turns red

I think is good it turns red if you exceed the speed limit and then you can alert when you go over with sound; 5 mph over good alert.

YMMV,

The native Lexus Navigation (2020 ESh) looks nice and the pinch to zoom works well. The Traffic density
shows up as Red/Yellow/Green corridors and at least during the 3 year trial the Dynamic Nav & Voice work
almost as well as a smartphone. That said I almost always have WAZE running in the background for the
alerts. In the settings I have set the over limit signal at 15 MPH over, it is most useful when the speed limit
changes and I don't notice. The alert sound from WAZE prompts me to lift and look.
