My wife just called me and said the car was telling her there was a software update. I assume that once I'm looking at the screen it will be obvious what to do? Is there anywhere on a Lexus web site that tells you what's being updated?

Interesting! I wonder if this is a new software update that is recent?
I had visited my dealer, and was told that there are still some issues with the profile loading and other oddities that need to be resolved (I have had the profile not load maybe 3 times over the past month - post update and post-fix - attached document).

Maybe they will remove the "Remote Park" option - since it won't be there anyway, but is part of the settings still.

EDIT: I don't know if there is a changelog of things that they updated, maybe a Toyota/Lexus TSB has it - but nothing us mere mortals have access to, unless I am mistaken.

 

Whenever I get around to getting in the car and doing this update I'll try to remember to take a picture of the details page that hopefully tells what the update is for. Maybe it will fix the horrible Bluetooth echo problem we're having.

 

No issues with Bluetooth for me. Odd things.
I would love to see a way to disable the constant lane trace assist beeping (when it doesn't see a marker line), and maybe an improved 360 camera - but I doubt that will happen!

I went into the Software Update yesterday and once I did, it prompted me that one was available. Installed in about 5 minutes or so with no issues.

My wife has been saying the Android auto wasn't reliably connecting recently, so she tried starting the car twice after I updated and it connected both times.

Not sure if the issue is resolved after only 2 tries, but it's a start.

 

 

This update is the original update that came out around March.

 

Surprised our car made in April needed it then.

Are the OTA updates for the infotainment system only or can it update other systems in the car too (e.g. TCM, PCM, etc)?
