Default Antitheft lock

I know so many security features in the car, maybe some installed the tag or similar products to add more security, or a wheel lock.....
what did you do to to your car ?

Full replacement of a new vehicle for 5 years from insurance company. Costs $26 bucks a year. Assuming your car gets stolen and not recovered or too severely damaged

As for break in, don't keep anything in plain sight, and hope for the best.

OBD port lock, hidden Airtag, and The Club when parking overnight away from my garage at home. Also have full replacement insurance that gives a 30 day rental and cuts you a check. You then are on your own to scramble for a new car that may take months to get. Not a good time to lose your vehicle.

Assuming you have 1 Vehicle and it gets stolen with 12 to 18 months wait times will your insurance give you a rental for that period of time.

I have the original Club model. To be sure all models of the club can be defeated by a determined thief. The hope is the thief is deterred enough to move on to an easier target.

Thanks. Is it easy to install and how much did it cost with duties and shipping to Ontario?

Instructions to install are in the product details but basically turning the key to tighten it. Around $120CAD after exchange and shipping. I used the USPS option to avoid the extra fee Federal Express bills you after delivery.

Wink I added a driveway gate

I added a driveway gate and night spotlights and my lake house is in a gated community.

YMMV,

Do you have pictures of it installed? I’m trying to get an idea of the space I need to see if it’ll fit on my Lexus IS

Default Obd2 lock

The obd2 lock is a good idea , but does each one has a different key ? It looks as the key is similar !!!

I don't think it does but then again, even if it had it, it could likely still be picked if they wanted to. It's all about annoying the would-be thief enough to say F this and move on to your neighbors car lol

My buddy's F150 had one and the thief gave up. I get it is not a perfect solution but security is a multi layer approach with this being one of them.
