Hey everyone...my son currently owns a 22 NX 250 purchased in January 22 and has had nothing but issues with it, so many that Lexus has agreed to buy it back. He loves the truck and wants to get another one, problem is, he can't find any and he needs to sign off on the buy back agreement or restart the process again. Can anyone make any dealer recommendations of who may have one in stock or on the way? I know it's asking alot but I thought maybe some of you may know of a high volume dealer who may get more in than smaller dealers. My son is in FL but is willing to buy anywhere on the east coast or even the midwest.
If you are wondering about the issues, the lane tracing assist would become unavailable even while both his hands were on the wheel (it would tell him take control of steering wheel) then immediately start braking (we were on the highway doing 75 mph). Lexus told him not to drive it, he brought it to the dealer and they had the truck for over a month claiming it was a bad battery cell. Another issues he's had since day 1 was connecting his phone to the radio. It would constantly ask him to enter a pin on the screen and when using the wireless hands free the person speaking to him would hear a loud echo of what that person speaking was saying. The only way it would work without echoing was when he used his airpods. Lexus replaced the radio, antennae (s) but it still didn't correct the issue. My son is aware that these issues were a fluke and he just got an electrical lemon, which is why he has no problem wanting another one.
So if anyone has any leads please let me know. He is willing to get a 250 base or with some packages, nothing crazy and hopefully no dealer mark ups. Thanks in advance!

Have you contacted your local Lexus dealer? They can see inventory at other Lexus dealerships and may be able to trade or purchase the vehicle from there. They can also see inventory that’s on the way to those dealerships as well. Not all dealerships will sell or trade their inventory to another but it’s worth a shot.

thank you for the reply! Yes we have. Most are already reserved. And Lexus isn’t helping us at all to locate a truck. I will start calling some dealerships, even if not local.

Just start calling.
I contacted about 50 dealerships on my search (mostly West Coast) and found a total of 5 vehicles (350h) that were unreserved for delivery within the next month or two at a markup lower than $5k.
There were probably 10 gas versions for grabs at little to no markup IIRC.
There was more on the lot inventory if you went up to $10k.

This is pretty much what I experienced during my search but mine was even more extreme since I got a 450h+. The unfortunate reality is we're currently in an extremely seller sided market currently. If you're willing to pay a markup you can get a car relatively quickly, but if you're not well there is going to be someone who is. Just try calling as many dealerships as you can and leave your info with whatever SA picks up. If you get lucky they'll have a customer who cancels their reservation on them and at that point the SA will be the one scrambling to find you. At that point they'll be wanting you to buy the car before one of their coworkers finds someone and at that point they'll be more likely to negotiate the markup
wow! Thank u all for your replies! While I was busy contacting dealerships you all have been responding. We are fine with all gas. That is what my son currently has and would just like it replaced with the same truck. He loves everything about it, just wishes it didn’t have the issues it has. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
