Default Temperature on instrument panel way off

102° right now it says 87°, rebooted the infotainment system, no change.

I can’t find any setting for this.

There’s no setting. Paint color, direct sun, shade, being in a garage, etc. Lots of factors affect the reading. It also takes time for the temperature display to change. I can park in the direct sun and it’ll say 100, but after driving for 10 minutes it’ll say 85 or whatever. It’ll never be exact and has never been for any vehicle I have ever had.

This. Even the temperature you're seeing on whatever the mentioned reference happens to be is just the best guess based on the same factors affecting it (though I will admit the reference is more likely to be correct or close based on the car not needing to be very accurate).
