I recently got an allocation of an 2022 NH350h base model with a few packages and was super exited! It seems that the "Intuitive parking assist" is not available as a standalone package on Lexus's website. It is only included in the premium package and the luxury package. Sometimes I need to park in a very tight space and would prefer to have IPA available. It seems a little weird not to have the option available to add it to the base model. I am curious that is it possible that it comes as a standard feature (though it's not listed on the Lexus site)? If it's not available, is it possible to do an after market installation at the dealer and roughly how much is the cost? Thanks in advance!

No...it works by having a bunch of sensors in the bumper, i don't see any way to add it to a car that didn't come with it..without a lot of money ..if you can get it to work at all. Car still has backup camera as standard, can you get the 360 camera as stand alone? (in canada we can't..but US has way more choices for stand alone options)
i don't see why they'll include the sensors in the base when the sensors when they have it as part of higher trim..i believe it's also used for RCTB as well which is also an option and comes with Intuitive park assist.
all it does is beep and show when you're about to hit something, the car isn't that big so imo you don't really need it. i don't really use it as backup i have camera and if had the choice, i'll choose 360 camera instead
I’m not sure if you could have it added either. I will tell you it’s incredibly slow to park and would give me anxiety if I was slowing down the flow of traffic. I know how but wanted to try the parallel park option. It had me parked in the road and in the parking spot. Another time, I felt like my vehicle was backing up way too far and almost hit the vehicle behind me. I could have been paranoid but I don’t have full faith in this system. It worked more consistently in a regular parking space but would still move back and forth several times in the parking spot while trying to be perfectly centered. It’s not an amazing feature, through my experience. It’s way quicker to just park the vehicle myself.

i totally agree. I tried it in an empty parking lot and it took forever. There’s no way I’d use it to park between two actual cars. Backup cam and sensors make parallel parking a breeze without IPA.
The OP is referring to the beeping sensors, not advanced park.
OP - Yeah, it's weird that they don't allow it on the base model. Prior years and other models have it as a standalone option. I can only think it's to push people to the premium package and push revenue.
