Has anyone calculated the true monthly cost of the subscriptions once all the trial periods have expired (3 yrs out)?
The Dealer didn't know and it's hard to find online.
I could find that the Navigation was $16 monthly but what about all the rest?

As I wait for mine with a 9.8 screen to come in and prepare my budget these are the last minute things I wonder.

With the 3 years trial period that's $1,152 value, Which is almost the equivalent of the 14" screen option (listed at $1,105)
The worst part about subscriptions is that the cost can be raised at any time and is not set for the ownership period (see Netflix, Peloton)

 

I wonder if you can negotiate to get the subscriptions for less cost. This is different but when I had my Toyota I negotiated my 6 month subscriptions with Toyota every 6 months. And rather than lose me, they gave me the 6 month subscription for about 36-39 dollars.

I wonder if Lexus owners on these type of plans on other Lexus models have been able to negotiate a deal

So I assume you know that you don't get the three year subscription of the Drive Connect?

 

I don’t plan on any of their sunscriptions. Use Waze which meets our needs from phone to screen. No reason to spend $$ on anything else.

 

I agree as far as navigation. But Waze isn't going to remote unlock the car. I think remote unlock and possibly adjusting the climate control afterward is about the only value any of the subscriptions offer my wife and I.

 

I’m old school. Heck crank windows, no seat belts, button on floor for high beams. One reason I got base model. Has a few add ons, but don’t need much more.
love the 40 + mpg on trips and 45-55 locally .
oh forgot. And gas was 25 cents per gallon!

 

Yes, that's why I'm trying to work out the true costs. Seems that the 3 year trial is nearly an equivalent value to the cost of the 14" screen option. Not thrilled to have the 9.8" but custom orders aren't a thing these days and the one available to me had everything I wanted but the screen and had my 3rd choice in seats. Sellers market
