I have 2 phone currently. My personal phone is a Galaxy S22 Ultra and my backup/work Phone is an iPhone 13 Pro. Since the last update I've been having this issue where 2 out of 5 times the phone simply won't connect. This is not an Android or Apple issue as it happens with either phones. Before the last update I could connect the phone after the fact but now I can't force connect it anymore. It usually connects on its own the next time I start the car.
Anyone else experiencing this? I'd like to know if I'm a one off or if it's common before I reach out to Lexus.
I also have 2 phones myself. I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro and an iPhone 11. Occasionally my android auto does not connect, but 90% of the time it connects and have no issues.

So When it doesn't connect on its own are you able to connect it after the fact? I used to be able to but I can't anymore. It's like the car and the phone don't acknowledge each other.
Have you tried restarting the infotainment while the car is running? Hold down the center volume button for a few seconds to reboot it. This usually works for me. iPhone 13 now and iPhone 7 before.
Of course this is a bandage and not a great solution—will need Lexus to get enough complaints to fix their programming and push out updates.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that next time it happens.

It happened again today and your truck worked. Thanks again.
I have a similar issue with my wife and my iphones. Usually it connects. Sometimes it doesn’t. Forced connect, sometimes works, sometimes wants our PIN and then connects. Turning off the car and restarting usually works. We’ll try the center volume reboot next time. Thanks!
Be sure to feed these problems back to your dealerships so they get pressure to escalate with Lexus, and hopefully fix these issues in firmware. If they don't get any feedback, they likely won't prioritise fixing it.
Thanks for the tip about restarting the infotainment system. I was turning the whole car off, opening the door and restarting the whole car to get it work. I'll try the other way from now on.
In my case, I have G22 Ultra, and it looks like the connection problem is the Android Auto app. So I manually updated to Andriod Auro V7.7 (Beta). and it solved my problem. the official version will be released soon.
have you link your key to your profile? No issues here (iphone 12 pro & ios 15.5)

thank you for sharing this! Every blue moon I have connectivity issues or it’ll stop playing sound randomly during the middle of a song. This literally just fixed my issue this morning.
