Is anyone else experiencing audio delay?
I’ve had my 350h since February and use apple car play religiously, via Bluetooth. I’ve noticed at least a 3 second delay in conversation when I make phone calls. It doesn’t happen every time but does multiple times a week. I’ll ask a question or make a statement expecting an immediate response from the recipient but the delay seems to be on average 3 - 5 seconds before they response or appear to have heard me. I’m not sure if it’s the vehicle or my IPhone 12 Pro Max at this point. (software is up to date).

Have you tried this plugged in using wired car play?
I've noticed if you have wireless CarPlay is connected differently. Since you can connect 2 phones, the method of connection could impact the latency.
Don't know. Just throwing ideas out.

I’ve thought about doing a wired connection to see if it still does it. I just hate the idea of using cords that would be so visible. My UX had the ports in the center console.
We have a related problem with ours but with Android that I've posted about before. My wife will call me, I answer and say hello, I get no response, I say hello again, in my ear I hear myself say hello like I'm listening to her speaker, then she answers me. From there everything I say to her I hear in my ear as she hears it. This is with the phone connected via traditional Bluetooth not Android Auto. It's gotten so bad we bought one of those cheap Bluetooth speaker things that hangs on the visor. The dealer has looked at it and consulted someone in Chicago and we got the old "It's a known problem. we're working on it, wait for an OTA update.

I’m glad it’s not just an IPhone issue. I was thinking it was my phone and went ahead and ordered the new IPhone 14 pro max but the delay is still continuing.
With the audio delay, I feel like I’m having two different conversations when it starts to happen. The delay is becoming more significant lately.
I started using my phone via USB instead of Bluetooth, as of yesterday. So far I haven’t noticed a delay but it doesn’t always happen. I plan to speak with my local dealership soon and will keep you posted if they’re able to provide any additional information on the issue.

Not really an update but... I contacted my salesman about the audio delay to see if they had similar issues with other customers and how it was being handled. He informed me that another salesman's customer that purchased the plug in hybrid is having the same issue and that theirs was only a 2-3 second delay. The service department at my local dealership stated that they haven't heard of this issue and asked for time to research it. They're also going to check for software updates and campaigns, in addition to the tech bulletins to see if this is being mentioned.
I'll definitely keep you updated on the progress.

The service department stated that there were 30 posts regarding the audio delay issue on the NX, which is for all 2022 model types. Here’s the thing, this issue is not covered under warranty, and if you bring the vehicle into the dealership to have the software update done, then you’re out of pocket for that service.
This update is done through the “cloud” and can be completed by the vehicle owner; however, I was warned that each step needs to be conducted in a specific order or else the system will crash. The service department emailed me a copy of the steps and I may attempt to try the update myself after work today or the weekend. If it’s successful then I wouldn’t mind sharing the document with you. It sounds like this is at your own risk if you choose to conduct this yourself.
If you want your dealership to send you a copy of this document it’s under their Lexus Technical Service Information Bulletin, in the Service Category (Audio/Visual/Telematics), Section (Navigation/Multi Info Display), dated March 21 2022, title: Head Unit Software Update (Panasonic), with a documentation number: L-SB-0007-22. The document does confirm that this is not covered under warranty.
