Is anyone else experiencing audio delay?
My vehicle has not been informing me of any updates and I’ve had it since February. Last month I checked to see if my vehicle needed any updates. The information showed my vehicle was up to date and to my surprise a few minutes later it finally showed my vehicle needed updates. My old vehicle would show a pop up notification on the screen but this one has not.
and you’re right, the current HU version is 1025 and that’s what I have. I just contacted the service department and let them know.

They touted this OTA update feature like they were really going to utilize it and fix issues relatively quickly. I’ve had my car 10 months and there is only been one update. Way to go Lexus.
what is really disappointing is that this seems to be a relatively widespread issue and Lexus isn’t even acknowledging it which tells me that most likely they have no intention of even fixing it, much like the wireless charger.

The dealership requested that I take my vehicle to the service department next Tuesday. I believe they’re making the same request with the other Lexus owner with the same issues. That way they can compare them together. They have also reached out to their representative for additional assistance. Hopefully something comes from this.
Also, the wireless charging and illuminating lights have been the most disappointing features on this vehicle for me. If a model in the future were to correct these add ons, then I would most definitely trade my vehicle.

Taking my vehicle to the dealership was a complete waste of time. They basically just checked to see if my vehicle’s software was up to date. Their “bulletin” does not show any posts regarding audio delays through phone conversations and stated that this is not a known issue. Unless my vehicle replicates the delay during their inspection, then they basically can’t assist. Even if it replicates, they have no additional guidance on how to resolve the issue or if there would be a solution in the future.

(This sounds bogus to me, but . . . )
The tech guy at my dealer said that turning on surround sound in the audio settings may help with any BT lag. /shrug
So far I haven't detected any lag in phone calls using Carplay.

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 13. I usually have my phone plugged in because I can't use the worthless wireless charger...so I know it is happening with wired CarPlay. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet, but my Maintenance light just came on...so I will ask about it when I take it in.

Well let me tell you that I solve the problem partially jajaja, I tried something going through the settings of the car, and it working ok. At least I can use the Bluetooth properly and with out delay. What I did is disconnect the use of car play with my phone while connecting it to the Lexus Bluetooth. You have go to settings and access the Bluetooth menu, there you will see your phone as connected, click on your phone on the Lexus screen, you will notice you can select to use your phone for CarPlay or not, well deselect that option, just select to use it as a phone and to use it for multimedia. It’s way you would be using your phone with the old Lexus Bluetooth traditional system. Clearly the problem seems to be with CarPlay, the Bluetooth seems to work perfect. Until the Lexus tech guys find a real solution we will have to use Waze or Spotify the old fashion way.
I have attached some photos to guide you through, unfortunately my car settings are in Spanish, but I hope my explanations helps you. It’s insane nobody at Lexus came up with this partial solution before. In fact, I am going to call my Argentine dealership to let them know!! Hahah.
cheers,
Juan
I purchased a brand-new RX 350 2023 model approximately a month ago. Unfortunately, since its acquisition, I have encountered a persistent sound delay issue, with an approximate delay of around 3 seconds. In an attempt to resolve this matter, I promptly took the vehicle to the dealership.
Initially, when I brought up the issue with the service technician, they were unable to replicate the problem. Determined to address the matter, I personally demonstrated the sound delay problem on both my phone and the dealership's phone. Upon witnessing the issue firsthand, they assured me that they would conduct further investigation.
Yesterday, I received a call from the dealership, stating that the delay I experienced was a known issue with new iPhones. However, I pointed out that I own an iPhone 11, which is not a new model. Additionally, I inquired whether they were able to successfully connect any phone that worked properly, but regrettably, their response was negative.
This situation has left me feeling frustrated, as I perceive their responses as evasive rather than aimed at finding a solution. It is disheartening to own a 2023 model car, which costs approximately 60,000 dollars, only to find that it cannot perform a basic function that a 2011 model can effortlessly handle. Adding to my concern, I have come across online posts indicating that the same issue exists with the NX 2022 model.
Considering the fact that the RX 2023 and NX models employ similar technology, it begs the question of how such technology could be implemented in the 2023 model without resolving the issue in the previous year's model, the NX 2022. Currently, my car remains in the service department, and I am reluctant to pay 60,000 dollars for a vehicle with a malfunctioning media sound system.

I just bought a 2025 RX 350 and I have the same issue. The only way to avoid it is to turn off wifi and use a cord. That solved my problem but defeats the purpose of the car being all cordless. I just can't stand the delay watching videos on my phone, so I am going to stick with my usb.
Consider yourself lucky because some car manufacturers have eliminated the cord all together and only connection is by Bluetooth like BMW models.
Connection by cord will always be more reliable and sound better than Bluetooth which can drop bitrate or fade skip etc.
