USB voice commands don't work
I like to play music from a USB stick, rather than stream or from a phone. On a 2021 NX, saying "Play song", it plays from the stick perfectly. On our new 2022 NX, we get the message "Can't perform this action on USB".
Also, there is no way to search the USB, just a clunky manual scroll. If I try to search, I'm told to log onto Apple to stream, which I don't want to do. Also Apple is the only choice for default streaming. This all seems to be step backwards!
Anyone else seen this?

Do you mean search via voice command? The USB browse function via the touchscreen seems to have all the basics, folder, artist, genre, etc....although they're a little slow to load initially. I didn't try the voice command, though.
In case you use playlists, I started using isyncer to populate the USB drive when Toyota./Lexus dropped their playlist support some years ago. It both renames the track (I have it add a sequence number prefix) and writes them sequentially based on iTunes playlists, with separate folders per playlist. Works well if you want to invest the time and it fits your needs, but might not be what you're looking for based on your post.
PhilW1952,
I just posted the details on the new OTA patch, one line caught my eye in regards to your questions, not sure it fixes your issue(s) but maybe....?
